Bedspread sizes and full-drop calculation
A full-drop bedspread width equals mattress width plus twice the drop to the desired lower edge. Length may include a pillow tuck and foot drop.
Semrush US · 320 searches/mo · KD 8| Label or calculation | Dimensions | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Full-drop width | mattress width + 2 × drop | Measure from mattress top to desired edge. |
| Full-drop length | mattress length + foot drop + optional pillow tuck | Pillow-tuck allowance is a personal choice. |
Manufacturer variation matters.
Bed height changes the finished size much more than the mattress label alone.
Measurement method
Start with the product and space you actually have.
- 1
Measure the mattress. Record width, length, and full depth without relying on the label.
- 2
Add every layer. Toppers and pads change fitted-sheet pocket needs.
- 3
Choose coverage. Decide the side drop, foot drop, top alignment, and any tuck.
- 4
Read finished dimensions. Compare your target with the actual product specification.
Calculate a target size for your own mattressUse your measurements instead of relying on a nominal label.
